Drawings created with the student version of Vectorworks should not be used for commercial purposes. Therefore, drawings from a student version cannot be opened in a professional version of Vectorworks.
But, as a student you can open a drawing created with a professional version in your student version. Please note: as soon as you open a professional file with your student license, the drawing will be converted to a student version.
